STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

PPSCF STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

To dedicate itself to scientific learning, research and instruction in connection with the art, science and profession of photography. To educate the members and inform the public as to its standards, both professional and ethical.  To create, foster, promote and maintain cordial and ethical relationships among its members and with the community it serves in order to advance photography and all its branches and to promote all things that may be of practical benefit to the profession.

 

ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP DUES AND DOOR FEES

The PPSCF fiscal year is from January 1 through December 31. Each year all dues become payable on January 1, and are considered delinquent on February 1. Any failure to remit by February 1 shall be cause for cancellation of membership.

General/Program meetings are included as a benefit of the PPSCF membership.   Each month there will be a nominal door fee at our monthly general meeting/program for non-members that are not guests. Door fees are as follows:

Guest/Non-Member:  1st meeting is complimentary. 2nd and all subsequent meetings are $20

 

MONTHLY PROGRAM INFORMATION

We meet on the third Tuesday of each month at Orange Studio – (1121 N Mills Ave. Orlando Fl, 32803). | www.orangestudio4rent.com. Each month there is a special program or mini-seminar featuring top photographic professionals designed to educate, entertain and inspire us all. People’s Choice Award is conducted each month. Your fellow PPSCF members vote for their favorite image. The first place winner gets his/her image featured on PPSCF Social Media.  Your entry must be printed on a 8 x 10 format but the image itself can be smaller.

PRINT COMPETITION

Print Education/Competition is conducted on a quarterly basis. Digital image competitions are held in March, July and November.  We hire 3 qualified judges from around the State to score and critique our images in a formal PPA/FPP sanctioned competition. Ribbons are awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners.  The top ten photographers of the year are chosen from points earned at these 3 competitions.

 

ANNUAL AWARDS BANQUET

In December the PPSCF holds its Annual Awards Banquet to honor the achievements of its members throughout the year.

The evening includes a social hour, an amazing dinner, awards presentation and special entertainment.
