PROGRAM
Join the PPSCF for an evening of inspiration and art with an incredible artist who is joining us all the way from the UK, Andrea Barrett. She will talk about how she has become one of the most successful boudoir photographers in Britain while presenting the ideas and techniques behind some of her most iconic images.
ABOUT ANDREA
Since first starting out as a wedding photographer 25 years ago, Andrea Barrett has gained an array of qualifications including FSWPP, ABIPP, AMPA and Cr.GWP and has become a SWPP Associate and Fellowship with Craftsman.
Her talent and passion have clinched her more than 250 awards, including National Wedding Photographer of the Year for three consecutive years and regional awards in classical, avante garde, wedding album, wedding portfolio and environmental portrait categories. Her most recent win was the coveted WPPI Award of Excellence 2009 and 2011, in Las Vegas – a convention Andrea has now attended four times and has already booked for next year
Andrea is currently the MPA wedding album photographer of the year 2011, and was also placed as runner up, also taking a regional portfolio award too. She also photographs around 300 boudoir sessions per year, and is fast becoming one of Britain’s leading boudoir photographers
Her well-balanced mix of classical and modern styles and digital techniques – influenced by the likes of favourite photographers Jerry Ghionis, Mark Cleghorn and Nigel Harper – also makes her a popular choice among couples eager to take home ‘wow’ factor memories of their special day. Andrea continues to buck the credit crunch trend by taking more enquiries and bookings year-on-year.
